Humanists believe in the importance of individual responsibility and social cooperation;that people can and will together find solutions to the world's problems so that quality of life can be improved for everyone.
We fundraise for the Uganda Humanist Schools Trust (UK), established in November 2008 as a charity to support the efforts of Ugandan Humanists, who have founded three schools which offer students the alternative of liberal secular-humanist education. Volunteers, initially focussing on health care
and prisons. These volunteers work alongside religious people to support people during difficult times in their lives. There is also now a small number of humanists in paid-for positions, including a "Head of Chaplaincy" (a word we don't use ourselves) at an NHS Trust.Humanist Care
